INNTEL Recovery Purple Paper

Recovery: Part 1 Recovery It has never been more important to plan your meetings strategy. Proactive companies are getting ready to boost their post-Covid-19 recovery with strategy sessions, budget reviews, leadership seminars and teambuilding to kick start employee engagement. They are defining the future of meetings to gain vital competitive advantage. Once business and travel begin to open up again there will be a backlog of meetings and events … and limited availability. Companies that delay, risk not being able to implement their meeting plans and may jeopardise their recovery as a result. All the more so with a survey from the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) showing that more than half of companies are planning for recovery in business travel in 2020. At this crucial time, Inntel can advise on the most practical steps and most effective routes to take. In a survey of Inntel customers, the majority interviewed were mindful of the need to get back to work – at the right time – however their employees will need the right support to return to the office and regain confidence. As and when Government guidelines allow more people to return to work, companies will need to be confident that they have a plan in place for the meetings required and how they’ll run them. Now is the time to be planning this. It is imperative to realign thinking and teams to transition into collaborative working again. This report includes quotes and interviews with experts in neuroscience and performance including Professor Chris Beedie of CHX, Professor Susan Michie, director of the Centre for Behaviour Change at University College London and David Robson in behavioural psychology.
